Appalachian Community Action Receives Grant

Kingsport Times News from Gate City, Va.- The Appalachian Community Action & Development Agency received a $115,000 grant last week designed to help those in risk of losing their homes.  The Homeless Intervention Program (HIP) grant awarded.......

People Incorporated Partners to Rehab Homes in Northern Shenandoah Valley

The Northern Virginia Daily:

"The Northern Shenandoah Valley Regional Commission received a $2.5 million grant to acquire and refurbish homes in Warren, Frederick and Shenandoah counties.  The commission is working in conjunction with nonprofit groups Community Housing Partners, Habitat for Humanity of Winchester-Frederick and People, Incorporated to find qaulified occupants for the dwellings," writes Linwood Outlaw III.

People Incorporated Renovates One House at a Time

Bristol, Va.- TriCities.com

"People Incorporated is working to renovate Mary Street- one house at a time.  People Incorporated, a nonprofit community service agency based in Abingdon, Va., has bought seven houses on Mary Street to renovate and resell to low to median income inhabitants, and are still looking for more to buy," writes Amber Tunnell, an intern at the Bristol Herald Courier.

Gardening Grows Life Skills for Teens

STEP Ribbon Cutting in Patrick County
