MACAA Helping Families Stay Warm This Winter

Monticello Community Action Agency is teaming up with many others to help keep families warm this winter by participating in The Big Warm Up Charlottesville.  MACAA is encouraging people to clean out closets and donate coats to the program.  Last year they gave away more than 700 coats.  People are also encouraged to donate cars to the agency's Recycle Rides program.

CAPSAW Reports Numbers Served with Spending Report

Green Jobs Training Kickoff in Big Stone Gap

Appalachian Community Action is working in partnership to launch a six month green jobs training program called PluggedIn Construction and Weatherization.  Featured at the November 5th launch is Angie Sproles, Director at Appalachian Community Action, who will speak on the PluggedIn Internship Component.
