VACAP Announces EITC Grants

Richmond, Va.- The Virginia Community Action Partnership announced the Fall 2009 EITC grants, awarding $218,500 to 27 free tax preparation coalitions working under the Virginia CASH Campaign banner.

CAP SAW in the News with Stimulus Spending Benefits

Waynesboro- (from the newsleader.com) Group Details Local Benefits of Federal Stimulus Spending

Leaders from the Community Action Partnership of Staunton, Augusta and Waynesboro gave a briefing Monday to City Council of its progress of doling out thousands to local and regionial organizations.   Carol Blair, Waynesboro director of the office on youth, detailed the list of 11 groups that will receive American Recovery and Reinvestment Act (ARRA) funds through the regional partnership.
